Terms & Conditions

A LEGAL DISCLAIMER

The information provided on this page is for general informational purposes only and does not constitute legal advice. While we strive to ensure that these Terms & Conditions are accurate and up to date, we recommend seeking independent legal advice to fully understand your rights and obligations when using this Platform.

Scope and Nature of the Platform

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) constitute a legally binding agreement between you (“User”, “Host”, or “Chef”) and Call Your Chef GmbH, the operator of Call Your Chef (“Platform”, “we”, “us”, “our”). By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

Call Your Chef is a curated private dining platform that connects selected professional chefs with hosts seeking tailored, in-home culinary experiences. Unlike open marketplaces, the Platform operates as a curated and managed service in which chefs are carefully selected and experiences are individually matched, coordinated, and supported.

The Platform provides the structure, coordination, and overall framework of the experience, including the matching of Hosts and Chefs, the definition of the culinary concept, and the facilitation of communication. While Call Your Chef plays an active role in shaping the experience, the culinary services themselves are provided independently by the Chef. Call Your Chef does not operate as a restaurant or catering company and is not the direct provider of the cooking services.

Access, Use and Booking Process

Use of the Platform is limited to individuals who are at least 18 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into binding agreements. Users agree to provide accurate and complete information and to use the Platform in compliance with all applicable laws.

Bookings are typically initiated through a request submitted by the Host. Based on the information provided, Call Your Chef may propose or assign a suitable Chef and coordinate the details of the experience, including menu, number of guests, timing, and location. A booking is considered confirmed once the experience has been approved by Call Your Chef and/or accepted by the assigned Chef. At this point, a binding agreement regarding the provision of services is established.

We reserve the right to accept or decline booking requests, as well as to curate access to the Platform and its services in order to maintain the quality and integrity of the overall experience.

Pricing, Payment and Platform Protection

Pricing is determined individually and may vary depending on the number of guests, menu complexity, location, and overall scope of the experience. The final price will be communicated as part of the booking process. Payments may be processed through the Platform or via designated payment methods communicated during booking, and full or partial prepayment may be required in order to secure a reservation.

Call Your Chef may include a service fee or margin within the total price. By using the Platform, users acknowledge and accept this pricing structure.

Due to the curated nature of the Platform and the value created through the matching and coordination process, users agree not to bypass Call Your Chef. In particular, Hosts and Chefs may not arrange bookings outside the Platform after being introduced through it, nor may they exchange contact details for the purpose of avoiding applicable fees. This restriction applies for a period of twelve months from the initial introduction. In the event of a violation, Call Your Chef reserves the right to charge the full applicable service fee, suspend or terminate user accounts, and pursue legal remedies where appropriate.

Responsibilities of Hosts and Chefs

Hosts are responsible for ensuring that the event location is suitable for the preparation and execution of the dining experience, including the provision of an appropriate kitchen environment. They are further responsible for providing accurate information regarding the event, including guest numbers and any relevant dietary requirements or allergies, and for the conduct of their guests during the experience.

Chefs are responsible for delivering the agreed services in a professional manner, complying with all applicable food safety, hygiene, and legal requirements, and ensuring that they are properly authorized to provide such services. The preparation and handling of food remain solely the responsibility of the Chef.

Cancellations, Liability and Platform Use

Cancellation terms are communicated as part of the booking process and may vary depending on the specific experience. Unless otherwise agreed, late cancellations may result in partial or full charges, and services that have already been provided are generally non-refundable. In exceptional cases, Call Your Chef may assist in facilitating a resolution but is not obligated to provide refunds.

While Call Your Chef aims to ensure a high-quality experience, it is not liable for the execution or quality of services provided by the Chef, nor for any damages or incidents occurring during an event. To the fullest extent permitted by law, liability is limited to cases of intentional misconduct or gross negligence.

Users agree to use the Platform respectfully and lawfully and not to interfere with its operation or misuse its services. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts or restrict access in the event of violations of these Terms.

Intellectual Property, Changes and
Governing Law

All content on the Platform, including text, images, branding, and design, is the property of Call Your Chef or its licensors and may not be copied, reproduced, or used without prior written consent.

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. The latest version will always be available on this page, and continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of any updates.
